MepCalculator.com ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the website, why, and how long we keep it.

Using the calculators

All calculators can be used without an account. The values you enter into a calculator are used only to calculate the result and are not stored.

Anonymous statistics

To improve the site we count, as daily totals only: page views, how often each calculator is used, PDF and CSV downloads, the site language, the country (taken from your browser language setting), the device type (desktop, tablet, mobile) and the website you came from. The IP address of visitors is not stored and the statistics cannot identify you. A cookie named "mep_v" holds only today's date so that a visitor is counted once per day.

Accounts

If you create an account we store your name, e-mail address, optional company name, preferred language, membership level and an encrypted (hashed) password - we never see your password. For security we keep a login history with the time, browser and IP address; the IP address is deleted after 90 days. We send you only account e-mails (confirmation, password reset, membership notices) from info@mepcalculator.com.

You can delete your account at any time on the "My account" page; the account and its login history are then deleted permanently.

Feedback

If you send feedback from a calculator page, your comment, the inputs and the result of that calculation and - only if you enter it - your e-mail address are stored so that we can check the calculation and reply.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the site needs: "mep_auth" keeps you logged in (only if you log in), "mep_v" counts daily visitors (date only) and a security cookie protects the forms. We do not show advertisements and do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser; logging in then is not possible.

The calculator pages load chart and PDF libraries from the public jsDelivr CDN; like every web request, this transfers your IP address to the CDN.

Payments

Paid memberships, when they are offered, are processed by a payment provider acting as the merchant of record; we do not receive or store card details.

Data security and sharing

The data is stored on our server and is not sold or shared with third parties, except where the law requires it.

Third-party links

Our site may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page with a new date.
